You’re probably already thinking about your winter wardrobe and about what you would like this season. You want pieces that pull everything together and not what's trending.
You probably desire pieces that make layering feel effortless, carry you from cold, early mornings to last-minute evening plans, while still looking like you’ve got it all figured out.
Well, we have the answer. Tsotetsi KL’s Winter 2025 collection.
It’s easy to see why the collection is a hit at House of Nala. It’s elegant without being loud. Polished without feeling precious. And it’s designed for women who demand more from their clothes.

Whether you’re leaning into statement silhouettes or looking for those quietly confident staples, this collection delivers.
Behind the label is Khothatso Laurence Tsotetsi, one of South Africa’s most trusted designers. A stylist and a fashion lecturer, Khothatso has built Tsotetsi KL to be known for precise tailoring and attention to detail. The clothes are as smart as they are beautiful.
We had a conversation with the designer to discuss winter fashion, wearable luxury, and what makes this collection truly worth the space in your closet.
Who is the Tsotetsi KL woman, and how do you design for her lifestyle?
She’s accomplished, mobile, and values grace over noise. We design for movement; structured enough for a boardroom, soft enough for late-night jazz. Every seam is intentional, every pocket serves a purpose. She should never feel constrained by beauty.
What makes the Tsotetsi KL Winter 2025 collection a must-have?
Limited runs. Local craftsmanship. Intelligent warmth. Each piece is light on the body, rich to the eye. Once it sells through, it’s gone. That sense of rarity is part of the experience.

What winter trends are shaping the collection?
Texture, earth tones, and adaptability. We’re seeing depth in fabric, layered weaves, and spice-toned palettes like clove and cocoa. Our trims and closures are adjustable or removable, giving the wearer more control over how they style each piece.
How do you approach fabric and silhouette selection, especially for South African winters?
Johannesburg mornings are crisp, but the afternoons are warmer. So we have used hollow-core wool and lofted knits that insulate without weight. Our silhouettes are cut for layering, so one outfit can carry you through a full day of temperature shifts.
How do you balance luxury with accessibility?
We prioritise smart production. Hand-finishing is reserved for focal points, while batch-cut linings and locally sourced materials help us control costs without compromising quality. It’s about making smart choices that respect the customer and the craft.
How should customers style the key pieces from the collection?
Keep it simple, make it smart. Layer fine knits under our tailored coats for the day. After dusk, swap in a silk blouse. Change boots for a pointed heel, add a statement cuff, and you’re transformed without changing your whole outfit.
Any tips for caring for luxe winter fabrics in your collection, like tweed, wool, and faux fur?
Steam, don’t iron. Let garments rest between wears. Use breathable cotton for storage. For faux fur, dab with diluted vodka to remove odours, then air dry flat or take it to an experienced cleaner and request low-heat treatment.
Where is Tsotetsi KL headed next?
We want to shift the narrative. By keeping production in Gauteng and mentoring local artisans, we’re showing that African luxury isn't a niche; it is the future. Our goal is for “Made in Africa” to become not a curiosity, but a global benchmark for excellence.
